I found out I'm not a pessimist.
Look.
"Philosophical pessimism is the similar but not identical idea that life has a negative value, or that this world is as bad as it could possibly be."
I do not believe the world is as bad as it could possibly be. I have the utmost faith and belief that it can and will get worse.
Happy Monday!

LOL! I'd have to agree with that assessment. We seem to have lots in common Hellion.lol.
LOL!! That's hilarious. What's cynicism then?
Cynicism: Currently, the word 'cynicism' generally describes the opinions of those who maintain that self-interest is the primary motive of human behaviour, and are disinclined to rely upon sincerity, human virtue, or altruism as motivations.
Thank you, Wikipedia.
Actually Diogenes was a very famous Cynic. My history professor talked about him all the time. Obnoxious little jerk, I'm pretty sure. *LOL*
Kelly, I know! That's why we need to start hanging out as soon as possible and begin quoting Talladega Nights!!
LOL! Any time you wanna hang out I'm so there with tons of Taladega Nights quotes!
And Kelly is in Florida so you'll be warm. LOL!
I'm not sure where I stand on this one. Neither do I believe this is as bad as it could be or that it will definitely get worse? What does that make me? Other than naive and unrealistic? LOL!
I'm a pessimistic optimist; and you're an optimist optimist--or in my mind a deluded optimist.
But I figure it's because you have kids. I find those with kids are more optimistic about the world becoming better (by virtue that their kids will make things better, I suppose) whereas I don't have kids--and only have memories of the little jerks who made me miserable and hardly think this generation has gotten any politer or nicer and therefore are just as self-centered as my generation was.
Amen, hellion, amen.
I LOVE this blog!!! Now I can tell everyone that my glass half full attitude doesn't mean I'm a big old negative, but that I'm an optimistic pessimist!
